The kitchen is run by Gordon who trained at Morecambe
Catering College. The menu reflects modern culinary ideas with traditional
use of good local produce, decent portions with exciting desserts are
the reason many customers keep coming back time and time again. We try
and make as much as possible on the premises and our range of homemade
desserts are the reason so many people return.
Sunday lunch is always popular with three local roasts
every week. No visit is complete without sampling the Famous Steak and
Ale Dumpling Pie a real hungry man’s meal!
Party Bookings: During our time at The
Dumpling we have hosted weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, book-launches
and many other events. If you are planning a party from 2 to 82 we can
help so contact us to discuss your requirements.
Christmas & New Year: The Devonshire Dumpling hosts many
parties starting in November and going through to January (we even did
one in July complete with all the trimmings). We are open on Christmas
Day for Lunch and New Year’s Eve for our super party night. Contact
